School Games
Featherstone Primary School enters almost all School Games competitions. The School Games are made up of a four-tiered competition route that provides a pathway for young people to progress and develop in various sports.
Level 1 – Intra-school competition.
Children from each class compete against each other in various sporting events.
Level 2 - Inter-school competition.
Inter-school competition is primarily targeted at pupils in Key Stage 2. The pupils will participate at cluster level (Stockland Green cluster) and at Kingsbury School Games competitions. A first place and sometimes second place in the cluster finals allows the school entry to the School Games summer/winter festivals.
Level 3 - Sainsbury's School Games Festival.
Teams and individuals competing at Level 2 will win the opportunity to compete in this event if they qualify via Level 2 Sainsbury's School Games league. The increase in extra-curricular clubs, will allow more opportunity for the pupils and school to qualify for the Birmingham Level 3 Sainsbury's School Festival.
